It is a common misconception that a brand new vehicle arrives in perfect condition.
A lot of people think that once a car comes off the factory line, it’s perfect. But in reality, there’s a lot of work that dealership staff need to do before it can be handed over to the customer. Most of the time, they’ll want to take the quickest and most affordable route possible to get the car ready.
This often means that there will be some imperfections left behind, like buffer trails or sanding marks. To fix this, new cars usually need to go through a machine polishing process to make sure that the paint is glossy and clear.
